Pennine Oaks
Pennine Oak’s is a grassroots’ community organisation working with communities, socially isolated, vulnerable adults and children across the board in Pendle and East Lancashire to create a safe space in a woodland environment to participate in outdoor activities.
They offer their members and the communities at large the opportunity to participate in sporting and recreational activities in the outdoor. This not only helps with their mental but also the physical well being of the participants. It helps build their confidence and self esteem. It allows the participants to create a safe space and help others achieve new skills. It also allows new friendships to develop.
Pennine Oaks provide archery, create opportunities for social connection through fire-based activities. They also provide a unique environment centered around a warm, roaring fire. Here, visitors can enjoy a fresh breath of air or a much-needed break. They believe there is no better place to get to know someone than by gathering around a fire, with the added pleasure of enjoying marshmallows.
In addition to archery and fireside gatherings, Pennine Oaks offers a variety of activities designed to keep boredom at bay. From den and fire building to fishing, there is something for everyone. The organization focuses on helping individuals learn useful new skills that will not be forgotten while ensuring that every visitor has fun.
“Pennine Oaks is dedicated to offering a comprehensive outdoor experience where visitors can try archery, connect with others around a fire, and engage in various skill-building activities.”
