The Phoenix Way exists to support Black & racially minoritised communities to create change in our communities. Unfortunately too often they have lacked the resources, recognition, and relationships that sustain long-term change.
We’re not here to fix gaps — we’re here to shift systems, redistribute power, and resource movements that have existed at the margins but are at the heart of our community.
1. Trust-led, community-first
We work with Black & racially minoritised communities across the UK, shaped by lived experience, cultural wisdom, and deep-rooted leadership. We don’t parachute in — we build with.
2. A new way of funding
We design and deliver funding programmes that are collaborative, transparent, and accountable to our communities. Our partnerships are based on equity, not charity.
3. Proven infrastructure
Through our network of regional and national partners, we’ve built the systems, relationships, and governance to move resources quickly, fairly, and strategically to where they’re most needed.
