FAZAMNESTY UK CIC
FAZAMNESTY was founded by Faron, who turned the trauma of surviving 18 stab wounds into a mission to address knife violence. Through this organisation, he has become a beacon of hope for individuals and communities seeking to tackle the root causes of street unrest and create safer environments.
FAZAMNESTY goes beyond weapon recovery. The organisation is committed to building respectful and meaningful relationships with communities, gaining trust, and understanding the deeper issues behind knife crime. The work involves being out on the streets—visible, present, and actively engaging—to bring about permanent cultural change and educate people on the realities and consequences of weapons.
The organisation runs extensive outreach and community patrol initiatives with impressive results. In partnership with the Better Green Group, FAZAMNESTY is working to acquire and convert a fleet of vehicles, beginning with one urgently needed van. These vehicles will serve as mobile hubs—safe, accessible spaces for nationwide weapon collections, outreach work, and community patrols. The aim is to significantly expand the reach and impact of their mission.
Every day, FAZAMNESTY receives messages from young individuals, many under 18, who are in distress and seeking a way out of violent situations. These individuals often want to dispose of weapons safely and need guidance from people who understand them. Unfortunately, current volunteer resources cannot meet the overwhelming demand.
Some of these young people are scared and under pressure, knowing they pose a danger to themselves and others. FAZAMNESTY ensures that weapons are collected quickly and that the individuals are supported in ways that are meaningful to them and their experiences.
By deploying secure and compliant vehicles to key locations, FAZAMNESTY aims to establish trusted drop zones that guarantee anonymity. Locations will be communicated directly to individuals, offering a safe space to surrender weapons and be treated with dignity and understanding.
Faron’s first-hand experience and deep connection with UK street culture allows him to reach those who are unwilling to engage with traditional authorities. His presence and approach offer a vital link to a demographic often left behind.
FAZAMNESTY’s vehicle initiative is about more than collecting weapons. It is about physically saving lives through visible, consistent outreach, and creating safer communities for everyone.
“Fazamnesty’s relentless efforts have resulted in the retrieval of thousands of weapons from the streets a feat equivalent to 10% of the annual collection by the metropolitan police”
